THE GOD WHO SPEAKS
MAY 4. The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea… Psalm 29:3-9. All of us have the voices of everyone in our ears and we answer to the calls as we identify them but most of us do not know the voice of The Lord when He speaks. Everyone needs to hear God’s voice at some stage in their lives journey. There is a difference between hearing and listening, listening is a choice to pay attention to what someone is speaking while hearing could be accidental and not intentional. Samuel in our bible verse listened intentionally and he asked The Lord to speak as he had heard him and was ready to listen to him and to obey him. Prophet Isaiah heard God speaking, looking for who he would send and he offered himself for the assignment. When God speaks, His voice is powerful, majestic, it echoes through the seas, the mountains, the forests and the elements obey his voice. Psalm 29:3-9.
