DEEP CONFIDENCE IN GOD


May 28.  

Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night, and Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel 2: vs19 

You wake up one morning and your life story has been rewritten by a pagan king. You and your brethren have been captured and transported to a pagan country, you are embarrassing different tribe and tongue, you are confused and distraught. This is the story of Daniel a lad who with his friends were captured by king Nebuchadnezzar and taken to Babylon. Our Almighty God who is All Knowing has gone ahead to give his faithful servants the ability to cause unbelievers to appreciate them. Daniel served God despite being surrounded by pagans who tried to influence him. He refused food from the king’s table, lived on vegetables and looked better than those who feasted on the king’s table. Our God is sovereign and rules over all men even when they fight against him and seek to destroy his people. Daniel’s weapon was his ability to pray at all times despite the threats, he trusted his God and his confidence was in the God he served. Our God has his own timetable for the end of the persecution his children endure. At the set time God will intervene and deliver his people from the wickedness they endure. Our God will judge the kingdoms of this world and bring them to an end. 

Let Us Pray: Thank you, Lord, that you train a child the way to go and when he grows up he will never depart from it.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil.   MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy. This is the hope that all faithful believers enjoy, they have peace with God and they feel very secured.
