GOD LOVE IS EVERLASTING
MAY 18.
I
have loved you with an everlasting love. - Jer. 31:3
Can
we see God’s love for us in our Lord Jesus Christ? As we ponder over God’s
everlasting love for us, we come to the realization that this is the only asset
that we have that no one can take away from us. Why, because it has the
signature of God, signed with the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, His
ONLY SON who paid the price for God’s love for us.
The
love of God for us is not determined by our circumstances, by time or our
actions. The love God has for us his children was established before time
began, before the foundation of the earth, Ephesians 1:4-5.
As
we read through the bible from Genesis to Revelation, there is a thread that is
running through all the scriptures, God’s everlasting love. Our God declares to
our hearing, and in our hearts that nothing will separate us from His
everlasting love, neither death, life, angels, demons, nor powers affirming
that God’s love is constant and cannot be threatened by anything. This brings
us to the deep understanding of how much we are loved by God despite our sinful
nature. Sometimes we short-change ourselves and allow the evil one to come
between us and God. Let us remember who we are in Christ, our God in heaven
sent his only Son but yet He was in Christ reconciling the world to himself not
counting our sins but loving us compassionately. Because of his everlasting
love He was restoring the broken relationship between him and man through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
Today
we need to be embedded in the body of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be immersed in
the everlasting love of our God as we live with the fragrance of His love. The
love we receive from our God in heaven is to be shared to all the people we
encounter in our lives journey, love speaks only one language, it does not have
different tongues. Arise and wear your fragrance of love and spread the
everlasting love of God as you walk.
Let
us pray: We thank you Lord that you are LOVE personified, you speak, you
teach and you share love. Grant us the ability to love as you love.
