THE STONE IS ROLLED AWAY


 May 25.  

And they found the stone rolled away. - Luke 24:2

There is a finality when someone dies and doubly so when he is interred and laid in his grave. This has been the tradition and so when Lazarus died and same when our Lord Jesus Christ was buried. Lazarus had died and had been buried for 4 days, the stone had been laid over his grave but when our Lord Jesus Christ called forth his name the power of death was destroyed! Hallelujah

Matthew 27: 60, 65 & 66; tells us how the tomb of our Lord Jesus Christ was secured with the stone that was placed on it after his burial. Out of fear Pilate approved extra soldiers to watch over the tomb but ALAS there was an earthquake and an Angel of the Lord came and rolled away the stone. God’s words are yeah and amen and His words do not return to him void. Our victorious God broke the power of the grave, the stone was rolled away and the power of death was defeated and our Lord Jesus Christ AROSE, He arose. Our victory over death is the joy of the Resurrection Morning when the stones will be supernaturally rolled away and we shall see our Lord. Nothing has the power to arrest us as long as we are serving a Victorious God.

Let us pray: Gracious Father, we thank you for the power in your spoken word. May the stones that inhibit and have locked us from your goodness and mercy be rolled away in Jesus’s name.

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you.
