MY GOD NEVER FAILS
MAY 23.
Not
one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed. - Joshua
21:45
Our
Bible reference gives us the assurance of God’s faithfulness , trustworthiness
and his ability to do whatever He says He will do. All God’s promises are Yes
and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20. Words are powerful and his promises do not return
void without achieving its purpose. This to us who believe and trust in him are
not to worry or be anxious, nevertheless we must make an effort. We must live
in obedience and be sensitive to God’s divine presence and the leading of the
Holy Spirit. David’s confidence in Psalm 23 was not based on his personal
beliefs but on the faithful character of our God who never leaves His sheep
behind. God’s goodness and love are forever in pursuit of us his sheep. We know
that our shepherd walks behind us watching our every move, picking us up when
we become weak, feeds us when we are hungry, heals our wounds especially when
we are Bummer lambs. This promise reminds us that we are never outside the
reach of His goodness and His mercy. His goodness follows us when we rise and
when we fall, when we are aware of Him and when we are not. We need to dwell on
how good and loving our God really is. When we are focused on our challenges,
we become anxious and we lose the peace that comes with our trusting our God
who never fails. We are led by our Lord Jesus Christ, our shepherd, every
moment of our lives and he is our constant companion.
As
you walk today, take comfort in knowing that His goodness and love are forever,
leading you toward eternal life. We have a Father who never fails and He will
never fail us. Amen
Let
us pray: Father, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy in our lives
even when it is undeserving. Thank you, Lord, for loving us.
