WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS

MAY 20.

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it. - Exodus 14:16.

This morning The Lord is asking us a very valid question, as He asked Moses when he was receiving his mantle of leadership. I ask us today what is in our hands to do the work God has given us specifically? There was only one Moses who God had equipped ahead of time even before his encounter with God at the burning bush. There were others who God used in diverse ways to manifest his power.

1. Moses had a Shepherd’s rod.

2. The Widow had a small jar of oil.

Elder Moses did not know what power he had in the rod he was holding. He had forgotten what happened when the snake came out before him and Aaron. Are you a ‘Moses’ with a powerful rod in your hand, laid back because of a pharaoh who is standing before you. Remember that God has control over decisions and actions of leaders, including kings. - Prov. 21 vs 1

The widow with a small jar of oil was waiting for her creditors to come and enslave her two sons. God sent the prophet Elisha to multiply the small jar of oil that she had and all her creditors were paid and she had some left over.

1 Corinthians 12 :1; 8-12 tells us that there are nine supernatural gifts available to the Christian. Each one of us is endowed with one and maybe more than one of these spiritual gifts. Have you identified your gift? What are you waiting for to manifest the healing powers you have in the laying of your hands on the sick.

The cemetery has been identified as the place that has the most treasures of the world. Books that were not written, testimonies that were not shared, supernatural gifts that were not used, locked up, dead and buried! What has God given you in your hands, in the words of encouragement like Barnabas was known as the encourager! Arise and wake up, the hour is now to be the David of your time, the Goliath in your nation will be brought down with the sling and the stones in your hands.

Let Us Pray: We lift up our hands to receive the supernatural gift bestowed on us. We are grateful to you our Lord for the manifestation of your power in our hands as we look inwards for what you have given us to manifest your power; our hands and our hearts are lifted up to you.

Bible verse: Proverbs 21: 1-9, 2 kings 4: 1-7, Exodus 14: 15-18.
