CONFIDENCE IN GOD


May 30. 

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Joshua 1:9 

Have you ever been commanded by anyone to be strong and courageous? Today you are hearing The Lord God Almighty telling you exactly what He told Joshua when he was leading the Israelites after the death of Moses. As you hear this command from our Lord, you are emboldened and you begin to listen and to know who your Commander is. There is a stirring in your spirit as doubts and fears disappear and the peace of the Holy Spirit envelopes you and you are energized to face the battle. Remember that when doubts and fear are present, we delay the hand of God to save us and deliver us from all evil. The prophets of old had their confidence in God and they did exploits, our God is the same today and our confidence in Him will deliver the enemy camp to us in victory. 

Let Us Pray: Lord, we thank you for your love as you help, lead and guide us continually.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil.   MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy. This is the hope that all faithful believers enjoy, they have peace with God and they feel very secured.
