THEN GOD SAID...2
October 2. THEN GOD SAID….. 2
“Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” Gen 1 vs 9
As God spoke, the elements obeyed Him. At the sound of His voice, the waters gathered together to make space for the dry land to appear. When we watch the tides rise, we see the force that lifts up the waters to an amazing height. The power of our God is on display for us to comprehend that there are no generators moving the waters, ONLY the power in God’s spoken words.
Today begins with us understanding the essence of hearing what God is saying to us. Can you hear the movement of the waters that He has spoken to in your life? Are you seeing the dry land that He has created for you as an escape route for you? Like the Israelites running for their dear lives, and the Red Sea was lifted for them to escape from their enemies. Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. His words are the same, speaking life into our emptiness. Has He said anything to you today? We do not need to understand what God has said. Remember, His ways are not our ways. He is the OWNER of the universe, and He has the sovereign power and authority over all of His creation and to do as He pleases.
As God separated the waters from the land, God was creating a space to share with mankind. If God has created space for you in His domain, what are you doing with it? The water was gathered, which means that we still have access to God’s water that never runs dry.
As humans, we can live for 3 days without water. Some believers can do 3 days of dry fasting and beyond that, they can collapse. Everything on earth needs water to survive. Our all-knowing God has surrounded us with mighty oceans, waterfalls, rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds. This is an indication to us of the importance of water in our daily lives.
When our Lord Jesus Christ says that He is the water of life, we see the water of life flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb—Rev 22:1. This water is flowing majestically, spirit-filled, infused with God’s glory, flowing from God’s throne and the Lamb.
Do we thirst for the water that God has gathered for us at the beginning of creation? Do we thirst for the water-of-life that flows from the throne of God and the Lamb? We need both waters, one for our beginnings and the other for our ending. We have a choice to hear what God is saying and to obey Him, that we will have eternal life. Amen 🙏🏾
Let Us Pray: We exalt Your holy name, and we thank You that we have ears to hear You when You speak. We thank You for the living waters that flow into us from Your throne. May we continue to drink from You and not from any man, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
