September 11.   TIME FOR U-TURN


For they did not practice My ordinances, but they rejected My statutes and profaned My Sabbaths, fixing their eyes on the idols of their fathers. I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not live. Ezekiel 20:24-25 BSB


I see a lost and weak humanity when I get some ‘good’ health tips and excellent inventions that are supposed to make life easy for man dropped  on my  social media page. A few hours later, another couple of posts drop declaring many of the ones they had advocated earlier as poisons that will cause all sorts of incurable diseases. The one sent to me this morning that made me feel sorry for humanity was about electric cars that have been publicized as the saviour of the climate. The question on my mind is where and what should mankind do?


I see mankind as the Israelites when they turned their back on God and His ordinances. After several failed persuasion, God abandoned them to their own rules and ordinances that were not good for them and which could not sustain life. With the various inventions that man has made without giving glory to God, none can sustain life. One speaker put it thus at a seminar that man has been able to invent mighty things and tame wild animals but they have not been able to tame the mind of man. Only God can do that so man ought not to turn his back at God or do away with His counsel. Wherever you have abandoned the ordinance of God in your individual life, do repent and make a u-turn because your own ordinance cannot sustain life.


Let us pray:

I pray that you, me and the whole world will observe the worthlessness of our ordinances and return to God who made us and knows each of us even before we were formed in our mothers’ wombs.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil. HOPE IN THE WORLD

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy.
