ALL KNOWING GOD
August 30 ALL KNOWING GOD
“God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything” 1 John 3:19-20
Who can stand before The All Knowing God and boast about anything? Do we know The God who knows everything and all things about us? Yes, He is our Creator, he designed us and put us in our mother’s womb. Can the pot ever ask the potter how he was created or why? The potter moulds the clay into any shape and size that he wants, he is not in any way answerable to the clay.
Our Heavenly Father is the Potter and we are the objects of his creation, the clay in his hands. He alone knows the ones that are fragile, the ones that are strong, the ones that will survive under any circumstances. The psalmist says “O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up…….Psalm 139:1-4. This is the power that our creator has over us, our thoughts are known to him and He deals with them for our own good. The psalmist says that He sifts through our thoughts, He deletes what may be harmful to us and repackages us to achieve his purpose in our lives.
The God of all creation knows everything about us, even the things we do not keep account of. Today we have combed and brushed our hair and we have strands of hair left in the comb, none of us can count the strands of hair on our combs much more the hair on our head. In the gospel of Luke 12:7 we meet with our God who knows every small, inconsequential detail of our life, “the hairs on our heads are numbered.” Who on earth would care for us in such details, only he who loves us so deeply that He made us in his own image and likeness.
This makes us feel very special, deeply loved and cared for. We are all treasured by The All Knowing God, valued more than anything else we may consider.
There is no creature hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed…. Heb 4:13. There is no hiding place for all of creation, from He who knows the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done- Isaiah 46:10, He is The All-Knowing God.
Many years ago, I sat in my church and listened to the testimonies of some women who had just returned from a pilgrimage to Israel. I was so excited that I said in my heart, not to anyone’s hearing, “by this time next year I would go to Israel.” My thoughts and my desires ended there with me but not with the Lord who knows our thoughts before we act on them, took over my thoughts and planned everything. I had no idea about the pilgrimage and what it entails, exactly a year to that very month I had a free all expenses paid trip to Israel on a pilgrimage.
We are blessed of The Lord who knows all things about us and forgives us all our sins. Today, as we commit all of ourselves to our Lord, let us understand that there is nothing that He does not know about us. The Book Of Life is a record of ALL our deeds, let us draw close to He who knows us all and is ready to forgive us all our sins.
Let Us Pray: Our Father in heaven we desire to live a life that is pleasing to you. May we live our lives enjoying the privilege of being watched by you. Thank you Lord.
