July 3   Where Do I Begin
             
  In the beginning was the Word……. John 1:1

          There is always a beginning to everything in the life of each and everyone of us. There is a beginning that we did not know about, we were not part of it, we just happen to know about it. Psalm 139: 13-16 tells us that our God, our Creator put us together as a substance in the womb of the mothers He chose for us. This we consider as our beginning, unfortunately we do not know the hour and the date of this beginning. Is this really the beginning for us, but we did not know ourselves at this point. 
     However, we begin to understand our beginning when we know He who is the Word is the beginning of the world as we know it today. We are not a happen chance, we were part of the beginning of creation. Our Lord Jesus Christ who is the WORD was at the beginning of creation. 
     In Jeremiah 1: 5, “before I formed you in the belly I knew you”. At the very beginning God already put all the things we would need to work out our purpose in life. From the very beginning God made the Prophet Jeremiah a stammerer and that did not stop God from sending him to speak to kings. 
   There is a question that we need to ask ourselves and in ourselves find the answers. When was my beginning?
Is it the day I was born? 
Did you know who you were on your birth date? No 
Was it on your 5th birthday? Do you know The Word?
   Our beginning starts from the day we acknowledge Our Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior. Our new life in Christ marks the beginning of our lives journey of faith and our salvation. Our eyes are opened to the reality of who we are in Christ Jesus. This gives us full access to being citizens of heaven, reconciled with our Father in heaven and our full redemption. 
     We find our beginning in the selfless love of Christ who gave his life sacrificially that we may gain eternal life. The very beginning of Moses’s life journey as a leader of the Israelites started at age 80 when he found God in the burning bush. 
    Where is your beginning? Some of us determine our beginning when we have achieved our set goals. I do not have the time now, my business is demanding, I need to travel for work, I need to make all the money now and then I can make out time for church and the other stuffs. 
    The starting point is usually the most difficult part until we are intentional and determined to find the WORD as the beginning of our lives journey. May the Lord guide us to the WORD that is the light in the pathway of our lives.

Let Us Pray: Father in heaven we thank you for being the WORD in our lives. We pray that you will guide us to the truth of who you are in the very beginning of our lives journey. Reveal yourself to us so that we can live out our purpose in you. Amen.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

HOPE IN THE WORLD

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy.
