God's Primary Purpose


July 13.   GOD'S PRIMARY PURPOSE


For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV


God’s primary focus for man is that we have eternal life. Whatever He permits to happen is working together for His purpose to make man live with Him eternally. Man separated himself from God when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden. God made the pathway to return to Him through Jesus Christ. 

When He permits ‘bad’ things to happen, it is for the ultimate end that man may see his weaknesses and turn back to Him. When He allows man to display his power through science, He allows it so that man may eventually see his weakness and helplessness and turn to Him.

When you understand this, you will appreciate why He said ‘all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. 

Today, look at whatever you have gone through and say to yourself  ‘these temporal things are working together for my eternal good.’ His will will be easy for you to bear because you know it is for your ultimate eternal good.

Let Us Pray:

Dear Father, there is no love deeper than to give Your most precious gift that I may be with You eternally. May mankind take this in and love You deeply enough to surrender all to You.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil.   MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you.
