THROUGH THE NAME OF JESUS

July 1.   THROUGH THE NAME
            
 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. Acts 3:6; 15 & 21.

There is something in a name and this is seen in the scriptures, from Genesis to the book of Revelation men are known by their names. The names we bear have meanings and may be giveafter an event or a family tradition. Names are given for different purposes and they can inspire hope or remind people of an event. 
John the Baptist was named John to complete the event of his father’s encounter with an Angel. The bible identifies people by their names, and tribes, Joshua is known as the son of Nun from the tribe of Ephraim. 
The name you bear identifies you and your family and also your tribe. Your name may or may not ring a bell but you have a name that is your identity. 
Today we are meeting with a cripple who was not named in the Bible but he was a vessel used to showcase the power in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 
The cripple here is usually dressed up by his family and brought to the gate of the church to beg for alms. A daily ritual that sustains his family, this still happens in our country today. 
Today, something different was going to happen when he heard the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The beggar was stationed at his usual spot, at the temple gate called Beautiful doing what he knew to do, begging. 
 Unknown to him and to all others, through the FAITH of two men Peter and John in Jesus’s name he was made whole and well. He was expecting alms from the disciples of Jesus Christ who had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The two men KNEW God in their hearts and believed in the power that the name of Jesus Christ carried. 
“In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk,” was the alms they had for him. Taking him by the hand, instantly his feet and his ankles became strong, he jumped and began to walk and praising God. There was jubilation, wonder and amazement at what had happened and many believed.
Can we as believers boldly declare healing on someone’s ailment through The Name? Today we have silver and gold but we do not have “rise up and walk”. 
My dear believers can our mouth speak what our hearts believe as the truth from God? Can we believe without any proof? Can we trust God enough for the miracle of healing to take place? What conviction do we have in the power Through The Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. There are many fake healings done in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and Jesus says that he will deny all who falsely call on his name. 
As we recognize the power through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ let us speak what our hearts minister to us. 

Let Us Pray: Our Lord and our Father in heaven we thank you for the power we have in our mouths to declare healing through your name. Grant us the boldness to speak what our hearts believe in, trusting that our faith in you will manifest your power. We pray through the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen 🙏🏾

He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. HOPE IN THE WORLD

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy. This is the hope that all faithful believers enjoy, they have peace with God and they feel very secured.
