June 16.   THE WORD WORKS

““For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV

The word works and you can easily prove that by simply giving a command to a junior officer at work or someone under your authority and he carries it out. The highest authority is God so His word directed at anything performs. The word may not perform instantly because it is like a seed that takes time to germinate. The word of God definitely grows and bears fruit at the right time. 

I remember some years back when the government of the day seized the property of a woman at a prime place of Lagos. The woman was not happy and did not have peace over the case. She had gone to court and lost. Then she narrated the case to me and said we should pray. I prayed Isaiah 65:22 at the gate of the property. It took three years and there was a change of regime. She took the case to the new governor who looked at all her papers, confirmed that they were genuine and he revoked the acquisition order by the former governor. The word finally worked after five years. Tomorrow, we shall see how the word works. 

Let us pray: Dear Father, I have been looking at the power of the word for some days now. I thank You for the understanding I have acquired, help me to keep a watch over my words for they have power of life and death.
