THE WORD JUDGES YOU
June 9.
“For
by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matthew 12:37
NIV
I
remember one day when we were young, I wanted to report an incident that
happened between me and my senior sister when our grandmother was not around. I
told the story thinking my grandma would chastise my sister. Instead she
chastised me saying by my words I pronounced myself guilty. I felt so bad
because my sister really mistreated me but the way I presented the incident put
me in trouble.
The
words we speak truly justifies or condemns us. The word we speak judges us and
every word we speak shall be accounted for on the day of judgement. Such is the
power of the word.
If
you were to be judged and given everything you say, will you be happy? How will
your life be: confused or peaceful? Always remember this when you speak.
Let
us pray: Dear Father, now that I am knowing the power in my word, help me to
control my heart from which my words come in Jesus name.
