THE WORD IS GOD
June 17. THE WORD IS GOD
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:1-3 NIV
This portion of scripture has not stopped thrilling me because it shows how many can exercise his mandate from God. Those who understand it use it to their advantage. I want us to see this scripture with Psalm 82:6 repeated by Jesus in John 10:34. “I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.” Psalms 82:6 NLT. God says you are gods. So I am god! I am a child of the Most High God! My word is god and it is me. It carries my authority jus as the word of God carried authority at creation.
This implies that if I know how to use my world properly, I can create as my heart desires within the boundary that God’s word gives me. It also means that I can choose not to surrender myself to any word that does not agree with the word of God.
My friend reading this now, if you take your time to contemplate this verse of scripture, the truth of it will set you free from oppression. You will read the whole bible and know God’s word of ultimate authority and use that to assess any other word. I leave you to search this more in the bible and let it open up in you so you will know the power that is in your mouth.
Let Us Pray:
My Father and my God, I thank you for making me see that you are my God and I am your image and likeness. Your word in my mouth under your spirit carries your authority. Help me to remain under your Holy Spirit always and keep your word in my mouth and heart in the name of Jesus. Amen.
