June 19.   STAND

“For this reason, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to take a stand on the evil day and, after you have done everything, to stand.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ‭EHV‬‬

There is the beautiful hymn standing on the promises of God that I love and sung in times of trial over time. Each time, it never fails to give me comfort and courage. The times we are in now all over the world call for people to take their stand and stay firm on it. Every time that you open to the news media, you read or hear of all the evil going on. Even when you choose not to use the media, people around you will offer you the unsolicited information. How do you take your stand?

We must begin with each person taking his own stand and as others see a thriving person in this turbulent world near them, they will be forced to inquire and copy whatever he says. The fearful person cannot take a corporate stand and such a person will weaken others with their fears. Fear is infectious. Deuteronomy 20:8.

Choose your own stand. I choose to stand on the word of God. I look on the promises of God and stand my soul on it. If God says no evil shall befall me, I believe it and hold firm to it living in the whole truth of that promise. Ephesians 6:12-17 tells how to stand. In addition to all the armour in Ephesians, I stand waiting for God to act with praise and thanks giving. I do this because I know that victory of God over all evils must come. I leave you to think on this and take your stand in any battle that is in your life. Psalm 84:4.


Let Us Pray: My Father, thank you for giving me all the weapons that I need to shut down enemy thoughts in my mind. Please give me the understanding of each of them and how to use them. Thank you my Father in the name of Jesus.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil. HOPE IN THE WORLD

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy.
