June 18.  1 Chronicles ch 19-21; John 21


LORD THY WORD ABIDETH


1 Lord, Thy Word abideth,
And our footsteps guideth;
Who its truth believeth,
Light and joy receiveth.


2 When our foes are near us,
Then Thy Word doth cheer us,
Word of consolation,
Message of salvation.


3 When the storms are o’er us,
And dark clouds before us,
Then its light directeth,
And our way protecteth.


4 Who can tell the pleasure,
Who recount the treasure,
By Thy Word imparted
To the simple-hearted?


5 Word of mercy, giving
Succour to the living;
Word of life, supplying
Comfort to the dying.


6 O that we, discerning
Its most holy learning,
Lord, may love and fear Thee,
Evermore be near Thee.


We round up this session on the Word with the words of the above hymn. Look deeply into every stanza and see how the word of God works in man’s life. Surrender to the word of God and enjoy all that God offers for your good. 


Let Us Pray: My Father, thank you that your word that gives abundant life is available to me. Help me to live by your word always in the name of Jesus.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil. HOPE IN THE WORLD

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy. This is the hope that all faithful believers enjoy, they have peace with God and they feel very secured.
