DIALOGUE WITH GOD

June 20.     DIALOGUE WITH GOD

“And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us?…” ‭‭Judges‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

IF I AM GOD OR SON OF God, WHY…? God became Man in Christ that man may become God. Whoever believes in Jesus and accepts the Holy Spirit of God into his heart has the power to become the son of God. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬  Many have believed, baptised in water and the Holy Spirit yet too many life happenings defeat them without any clue. Why? This is why: “A man [who is held] in honor, Yet who lacks [spiritual] understanding and a teachable heart, is like the beasts that perish.”

‭‭Psalm 49‬:20‬ AMP‬‬ We are held in honor and lack spiritual understanding and a teachable heart just like the people of the time of Jesus so everything life throws at us overwhelms us. God has a word for us in every circumstance in life and He has given us His divine nature through His promises. “And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬  If you have these promises and you refuse to look deeply into them to understand them so you can live by them, then you cannot escape the effect of the corruption of the world. This is why people including Christians get overwhelmed by world pressures. You rise above the pressures through the promises of God. What this means is that you should do what God will do in any situation you find yourself.

Let Us Pray:

Dear Father, thank you for your promises that never fail. Help me to take them to heart in a way that I can live victorious in them in the name of Jesus.

YOU ARE A CHILD OF PROMISE

MAY 1.       Acts: 1: 4-5   The days are going so quickly, I remember that Christmas was celebrated not too long ago and here we are celebrating Good Friday and Easter, the most important days in the Church calendar.   The celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ in this season is purposeful and it is from everlasting to everlasting. Some questions come to my mind, what if our Lord Jesus gave up on his disciples who had betrayed and denied him? What if our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead and decided to take a holiday from the stressful life he had been through? What if he did not leave us the Holy Spirit, our Comforter? The questions are endless and we sure do not have any answers to all of them and many more. We are the reason why our Lord Jesus Christ did not stop to take a rest and did not deny us, forgiving the thief on the cross.   Today we begin to see the enormity of the work our Lord Jesus Christ did for us, from the cross to...

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

Image
MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil. As you stand, there is nothing on you that was originally made by you.   All of these products were created by God before He created man and gave man dominion over all that He created. - 1 Corinthians 8:6.   Psalm 14 vs 1 AMP says, “The (spiritually) ignorant says in his heart that There is no God!!”   What do we say to that? Question who is God to you? He is the crea...

HOPE IN THE WORLD

Image
MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy. This is the hope that all faithful believers enjoy, they have peace with God and they feel very secured. This brings the Christ-like character and the absolute abundant grace in our daily living.   Let Us Pray: Heavenly Father we ask to be filled with joy and peace as we are hopeful of yo...
