Your Heart Follows Your Treasure


June 26.   YOUR HEART FOLLOWS YOUR TREASURE


For your heart will always be where your riches are. Matthew 6:21 GNT


Some years back, it was revealed to me that many poor people are ‘richer’ than those who are actually wealthy because their hearts are always pursuing after wealth. A poor man has his imagination and heart on acquisition of wealth. He lives envying the rich and his treasure is the riches he wishes he could have. His heart is there. 

Some people have their treasure in marriage whether they are actually married or not. Whatever your treasure is dictates where your heart will be. 

If Jesus is your treasure then your heart will be with Jesus. Every other thing that can be the treasure of the heart gives anxiety for it can  disappear any time. When Jesus is your treasure and your heart is with Him, you will have peace and you can ask for anything you wish and it will be done for you. John 15:7. 

What is your treasure? That is where your heart is. If you don't have peace of mind permanently, then check what your treasure is, you may need to change your treasure to Jesus. 


Let Us Pray: Dear Father and God, let me make Jesus my treasure and teach me to settle my mind on Him in the name of Jesus.

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know.
