THE WORD IS A SWORD


June 10.  

See what they spew from their mouths— the words from their lips are sharp as swords, and they think, “Who can hear us?”- Psalms 59:7 NIV 


Has someone talked to you before and it was like you were pierced with a sharp sword? I have experienced it both ways. I had talked to someone before and I knew he died inwardly that day and someone had talked to me before that she killed something inside of me. The word is a sword. “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” Ephesians 6:17 AMP the word of God is called the sword of the spirit. Spiritual battles are not fought with hands and legs like we see in deliverance services but with the word of God which is the sword of the spirit. This is why Jesus said He was sent to preach deliverance to captives. Deliverance is by the word and not by boxing the devil or demons. We must learn how to preach deliverance to captives. The word is what drives demons out. The word is the sword that cuts the demons and exposes them so that others may not fall victim. 

Let Us Pray: Dear Lord, thank you for exposing to me the nature of the word that You put in me. Help me not to use my word to destroy others and the work You are doing in Jesus name.

WHO IS GOD TO YOU

  MAY 2.     Deuteronomy 6:4 Our God is an Amazing, Awesome God, The Creator of Heaven and the Earth, There is no one like Him, none to compare with Him, yes He is a perfect God. He is greater than all that he created, unlimited in nature, infinite and he is the God in three persons.   As you are dressed up to go out of your home, you are attired in all that God created including you yourself. Your clothes are made from cotton, silk, your shoes are made from animal skin, your perfume comes from natural oils, your jewellery comes from metals that are found in layers of soil. HOPE IN THE WORLD

  MAY 3.      Romans:5: 4-5   Hope is not wishful thinking; hope is like making a long wish-list and waiting in great anticipation for each of the things you wished for to come through. You will find yourself marking off all the ones that God has answered.   On who are you hinging your hope on? My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and righteousness; this is the line of a very popular hymn that we all know. Is it true for you, can you let go and know that He who you hope on will not disappoint you. The faith that our hope has in God is the hope that does not disappoint, it transforms our suffering into endurance and our expectations into joy.
