OVERCOMING FEAR

MAY 8.

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Tim 1:7.

The ability to overcome fear is to have an unshakable faith, replacing fear with faith and the word of the Lord. Reading your Bible, praying, meditating and cultivating an intimate relationship with God.

Someone had said that faith is the envelope with which you send your prayers to God.

The phrase, ‘Fear Not’ appears over 365 times in the old and in the New Testament, for the 365 days in a year there is one FEAR NOT for each day. Isaiah 41:10 says “Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God,” this is the blessed assurance of God’s divine promise, presence and help making fear unnecessary. What do you find the biggest challenges to sharing your faith with others? As we step out to share the Lord’s word, let us be encouraged and be boldened knowing that as He sends us He equips us with the right words. The Holy Spirit will speak through us and our Lord will be glorified. This is our mantra, “FEAR NOT FOR I AM WITH YOU TO THE END OF AGE.” - Matthew 28:20.

Let Us Pray: Our Heavenly Father we ask You to renew us as we determine to share your Good News fearlessly with those we meet each day. Amen.

Bible verses: 2 Thessalonians 3:1, John 14:27, Isaiah 41:10; 1 Pet 5:7.
